Earl L. "Tiny" Topper, 91, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at his home. He
was the husband of the late Elzbieta M. (Januscewskia) Topper, who died on
September 5, 2004.
Tiny was born July 20, 1926, in Pennville, the son of the late Curtis C. and
Mary M. (Stambaugh) Topper.
Tiny was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford,
and he retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt. Major. Tiny was a member at the
New Oxford Social and Athletic club, East Berlin V.F.W. Post 8896, Richard
J. Gross, McSherrystown Moose, McSherrystown Home Association, and the
American Legion, Hanover.
Tiny is survived by four daughters; Darlene M. Topper, Mona E. Kline, Sonja
M. Mummert and her husband Tracy, and Tanya M. Stevens and her husband Wayne
all of New Oxford, two sons; Jan C. Topper and his wife Linda of York, and Patrick E. Topper
and his companion Donna Groft of New Oxford, 17 grandchildren, 12 great
grandchildren, and a brother, James H. Topper of Littlestown. He was
predeceased by two brothers; Robert and Marlin Topper, two sisters; Margaret
Reaver and Rose Herman.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at
10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St., New
Oxford, with Rev. Michael Letteer officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery. Hanover Allied Veterans honor guard will conduct military rites at
the cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017, from 6 to
8 PM from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc. 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children
Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Memories may be
