Dean A. Keeney

Dean A. Keeney, 66, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at his residence.  He was the husband of Deborah S. (Bollinger) Keeney, his wife of 43 years.

Dean was born February 22, 1951, in Hanover, the son of the late Howard M. and Emma C. (Cornbower) Keeney.

Dean was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Abbottstown, and was employed at P.H. Glatfelter for 47 years.  He was a member of the Spring Grove Sportsman’s Club, was an avid golfer, and loved being outdoors and planting flowers.

In addition to his wife Deb, Dean is survived by two sons, Allen C. Keeney and his wife Danielle of Timonium, MD, and Adam C. Keeney of Spring Grove, a grandson, a granddaughter, and nine siblings, Delores Lillich, Darlene Arnold, Frances Nace, Vergie Maus, Virginia Maus, Donna Poist, Karen Rodgers, Sharon Van Pelt, and Donald Keeney.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Charles and Sterling Keeney.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 2 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with his pastor, Rev. Shawn Berkebile officiating.  Burial will be private.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the York County Rail Trail Authority, PO Box 335, Seven Valleys, PA  17360.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
