William Crawford Obituary

William Jeffery “Jeff” Crawford, 52, of East Berlin, PA passed away at his home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Born August 9, 1970 at the Washington Sanitarium and Hospital in Takoma Park, MD to the late Patricia Lee Crawford of Strasburg, VA.

Jeff, affectionately known as Dad, DJ Faim, Coach Jeff, Author W. Jeff Crawford, and Opa to many, was a true Renaissance man dressed in black. His many passions included music, gaming, filmmaking, producing and directing alongside his mentors at PAFilms and his production company Transdimensional Films, woodworking, painting, and his proudest achievement: writing and self-publishing his first three novels, “My Father, Not My Father”, “Fixed”, and “Race at Pearl River”, and numerous short stories. He was the proud Editor-in-Chief of Penn State York’s student newspaper, “Any Other Word”, where he was preparing to graduate with his Bachelors of Arts in English this December. He will be remembered around the world for his contributions to the fine arts by many actors, musicians, composers, and producers, all of which he was proud to call his friends. Although he called Pennsylvania home, he had a long-time dream of moving with his beloved family to Maine.

Jeff is survived by his soulmate of 30 years, his loving wife Christie L. Crawford. Also surviving are his “Magnificent Seven” children: son Timothy A. Crawford and his fiancee Cari E. Goode of Westminster, MD; daughter Crystalline M. Crawford and her fiance Carnell B. Larry of Greensboro, NC; daughter Brianna L. and her husband Robert E. “Robbie” Smith of Glen Rock, PA; daughter Caitlin A. and her wife Kailey A. Mixell of Littlestown, PA; daughter Brooklyn I. Crawford and her partner Haley N. Diehl of Jefferson, PA; son William J. “Liam” Crawford II of East Berlin, son Declan G. Crawford of East Berlin; and his 11 grandchildren, Mason, Ja’meer, Hayden, JaZaria, Autumn, Julianna, Luna, JaNova, Charlotte, Quincie, and Ja’Braylen. He loved all of his family and cherished every moment spent together, near and far. He was surrounded by so many life-long friends around the world, many of which he called his family. His dog, his furry best friend, Hera, misses him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
