Thomas G. “Tom” Phillips

Thomas G. “Tom” Phillips, 75, passed away peacefully at his home, on Thursday, August 4, 2022. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Utz) Phillips, his wife of 55 years.

Tom was born April 10, 1947, in Lineboro, MD, the son of the late Granville Arley and Mary Vandell (Taylor) Phillips.

Tom worked in the food service industry for most of his professional career specializing in fresh produce sales. He was the owner and operator of Phillips Produce from 1969 - 1993. He was a family man who enjoyed the time that he spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Elaine, Tom is survived by two daughters, Michelle M. Shamer and her husband Matthew of Spring Grove, and Susan E. Miller and her husband Jason of Lovettsville, VA, two sons, Scott T. Phillips of Seven Valleys, and Michael M. Phillips and his wife Lara of Westminster, MD, eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Phillips and his wife Hazel of Hanover, and three sisters, Claudene Spence of Bergton, VA, Jean Weikert of Hanover, and Shirley Miller and her husband Melvin of Hampstead, MD. 

A celebration of life service will be planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any donations be made to the COPD Foundation.org. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.
