Stanley Wannop, Jr.

Stanley Wannop, Jr, 66, of New Oxford, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at his residence.  He was the husband of Elaine (Meiswinkel) Gerwig, his wife of 20 years. 

Stan was born May 15, 1952, in Norristown, the son of Mildred C. (Miller) Wannop, and the late Stanley Wannop.

Stan was a member of Emory U.M. Church in New Oxford, Hebron Lodge #465, New Oxford, and Steamfitters Local Union #420, Philadelphia.  Stan served on New Oxford Boro Council, the New Oxford Municipal Authority, was a founding member of the New Oxford Area Historical Society, and a former New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce Person of The Year.

In addition to his wife Elaine and mother Mildred, Stan is survived by a daughter, Katrina M. Thack, a son, Stanley Wannop, III, a stepdaughter, Jessica G. Moore, five grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, Patrick, Evelyn and Sophia, two step grandchildren, Charlie and Cody, a brother, David, and five sisters, Joyce, Lynn, Roberta, Christine and Jeanette.  He was predeceased by a sister, Gay.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018, beginning with a Masonic Service at 2:30 P.M. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hebron Lodge #465, 4 Lincoln Way East, New Oxford, PA  17350.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
