Orbrey P. "Matthew" Starcher

Orbrey P. “Matthew” Starcher, 92, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Micheline B. “Lee” (Lopizzo) Starcher, his wife of 64 years, who died July 25, 2018.

Matthew was born October 14, 1928, in Morning View, OH, the son of the late Levi P. and Eva M. (Nichols) Starcher.

Matthew was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Matthew is survived by his children, Robert W. Starcher of Glen Gardner, NJ, Lizbeth E. Raymond of West York, Brian A. Starcher of Van Nuys, CA, Eric C. Starcher of Dillsburg, and David W. Starcher of Phillipsburg, NJ, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev. Gilbert Starcher and Rev. Phil Burger concelebrating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
