Nicholas (“Mickey”) P. Misiti, 86, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Cross Keys Village, New Oxford, surrounded by his children. He was the husband of the late Judith M. (Arnold) Misiti, his wife of 48 years.
Nick was born March 15, 1936, in Harrisburg, a son of the late Vincent and Catherine (Papandrea) Misiti.
Nick was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School. He was an insurance agent and member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Abbottstown. He enjoyed playing cards, watching horse races, spending time with his ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club friends, and cheering on the Fighting Irish. Above all, he had a strong Catholic faith and immense love for his family.
Surviving are three daughters, Rose M. O’Brien, her husband Michael, and children, Eric (Samantha) and Morgan (Jamie) and their children Easton and Oliver; Angel M. Elder, her husband Terry, and children Nicholas, Camden (Taylor), and Isabella; and Holly Saporito, her husband Tony, and children, Tino and Gianna; one son, Nino T. Misiti, his wife Grace, and children, Chiara and Kai; and three sisters, Fran Wlazlak, Ann Librandi, and Carol Maugans, He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Metallo, and Helen Suknaic, and one brother, Tony Misiti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 West Canal Road, Abbottstown, with Msgr. Bill Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
