Michael B. “Mike” Spealman

Michael B. “Mike” Spealman, 65, passed Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home. 
 

Mike was born December 23, 1956 in Baltimore MD, the son of the late Ronald Spealman and the late Helen V. (Tracey) Zumbrun. 

Mike was a 1974 graduate of Randallstown Senior High School.  In his younger years, Mike worked at a local hardware store, and later went to Bill Groves Construction Co, in Carroll Co MD, where he learned his trade. He later became owner and operator of MDK Concrete Construction Co, New Oxford. Mike loved fishing, hunting, attending night time bonfires, playing horseshoes, darts, music, hotrods and outdoor grilling. Mike possessed an extremely hard work ethic and those who knew him knew he played just as hard.

Mike is survived by a son, Kristopher M. Spealman and his partner Angela Bond of Parkville, MD, a daughter, Kirsten A. Johnson and her husband Edwin of Spring Grove, a son, Kory D. Spealman and his wife Jennifer of York Springs, four grandchildren, Adrian Johnson, Averi Johnson, Jeremiah Spealman, and Kingston Spealman, one step granddaughter, Kayla Sturgis, four brothers, Ronald J. Spealman Jr, of Dundalk, MD, James E. Spealman of Carroll Co, MD, Mark Zumbrun of Jacksonville, FL, and George N. Zumbrun, Jr of Baltimore Co, MD, and two sisters, Mary A. Mattison and Tracie L. Green both of Carroll Co, MD.  He was predeceased by his step father, George Zumbrun, Sr, and a brother, Jay Zumbrun.
