Lester E. “Oz” Gable, Jr, 66, died Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home. He was the companion of Jodi L. Plank.
Oz was born September 12, 1954, in York, the son of the late Lester E. and Clara R. (Gatewood) Gable.
Oz was a boilermaker by trade and retired from Voith Hydro in York after 47 years of service, and he was a member of the East Berlin V.F.W., and the American Legion in Shiloh. He had a love for all animals and supported many animal charities, and he loved muscles cars, especially American Motors, and he attended many car shows.
In addition to Jodi, Oz is survived by two sons, Kris E. Gable of Manassas, VA, and Keith A. Gable of Hanover, a daughter, Missy A. Gable of Hanover, six grandchildren, and two sisters, Tina Amspacher of Dover, and Christine Gable of York. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Starret.
