June E. (Mummert) Messinger

June E. (Mummert) Messinger, 89, formerly of Hanover, passed away September 17, 2021 at her home in McSherrystown. She was the loving wife of the late Earl H. Messinger, Sr., who died November 30, 1991.

June was born March 25, 1932 in Hanover, the daughter of the late Rolandus and Edna (Lippy) Mummert.

June was an active member of Hanover Eagle’s #1406 and loved to play bingo whenever she could.

June is survived by five daughters, Judith Laughman and her husband Ralph of Hanover, Bonita Link-Swartzbaugh and her husband Rick of Columbia, Christina Rodriguez of Gettysburg, Katherine Lua-Hernandez of Hanover, and Diane Black of East Berlin, three sons, Richard Messinger and Raymond Messinger both of Bellefonte, and Robert Messinger and his wife Hilda of Hanover, 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, two brothers, Dale Mummert and his wife Vicki of Hanover and Merl Mummert and his wife Rita of Smithfield, and one sister, Shirley Luckenbaugh and her husband Harold of Spring Grove. She was predeceased by one son, Earl Messinger, Jr., three brothers, Melvin Mummert, Raymond Mummert and Harold Mummert, one sister, Nadine Scott and a grandson, Joseph Link, Jr.   

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Chaplain Betty Fundalewicz officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service.
