John T. “Jack” Carr, Jr, 95, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at The Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of Lucille (Fritzinger) Carr, his wife of 74 years.
Jack was born December 12, 1925, in Trenton, NJ, the son of the late John T. and Gertrude (Cope) Carr, Sr.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. An electrician by trade, he was employed by Youngs Rubber Corp and McGraw Hill for many years. Later he was the Clerk Treasurer for Washington Twp. (Robbinsville Twp.), Mercer Co., NJ. He was an eagle scout, and a life member of Hamilton Fire Company in Hamilton, NJ, and Washington Volunteer Firemen in Robbinsville, NJ.
In addition to his wife Lucille, Jack is survived by a son, John T. Carr, III of Abbottstown, a daughter, Lynda C. McKelvey and her husband Joseph of Hanover, three grandchildren, Shawn Carr, Michael McKelvey and Matthew McKelvey, a great granddaughter, Sydnee Carr, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Justyn Carr, and two sisters, Hilda Gadsby and Peggy Kiel.
Following cremation, a gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 2 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
