James Walter “Jim” Kistler, 74, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was the husband of Bonnie (Grim) Kistler.
Jim was born January 25, 1947, in Harrisburg, the son of the late James W. and Edna (Floyd) Kistler, Jr.
Jim was a 1964 graduate of Central Dauphin High School, and received his B.S. from Elizabethtown College in 1969. Jim served in the U.S. Army being honorably discharged in October of 1974, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Jim is survived by two daughters, Theresa Taylor and her husband Allen, and Mychelle Wolf and her husband Randy, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters, Diane Wolfgang and Nancy Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was deeply loved by all.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11 AM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Pastor Alpheus Fisher officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
