Isabel Hartzell Obituary

Isabel M. (Smith) Hartzell, 87, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at The Brethren Home Community.  She was the wife of the late Emmert E. Hartzell, Sr, her husband of 64 years, who died September 30, 2017.

Isabel was born March 11, 1931, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Belle (Kuhn) Smith.

Isabel was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford.

Isabel is survived by a son, Emmert E. Hartzell, Jr. and his wife Patty, of New Oxford, a daughter, Luanne M. Megonnell and her husband Jeff, of New Oxford, two grandsons, Travis D. Megonnell of Lewisberry and Dustin W. Hartzell of Downingtown, one great granddaughter, Hailey L. Hartzell of Downingtown, two brothers, Henry Smith and John Smith, both on New Oxford, and three sisters, Janet Wineberg of New Oxford, Rita Keplinger of Irishtown, and Martha Anderson of Biglerville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tracy A. Hartzell, three brothers, Joseph, Robert and Roger Smith, and two sisters, Dorothy and Aileen Smith.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10 AM at Hampton Union Cemetery, Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, with Rev. Joseph Gotwalt officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Love Thy Neighbor Collection, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, PA  17350.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
