Howard "Tom" Williams, Sr Obituary

Howard T. “Tom” Williams, 89, passed Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at The Brethren Home Community.  He was the lifelong companion of Barbara L. Baller.

Tom was born January 13, 1935, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Frank M. and Annetta B. (McCkintoc) Williams.

Tom graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, and attended Johns Hopkins University and Drexel University.  He was a member of Mustang Club of MD, Adams County Amateur Radio Society, and volunteered at Gettysburg Hospital.  Tom was an avid genealogist, and loved photography, sailing and woodworking. 

In addition to Barb, Tom is survived by two sons, Howard T. Williams, Jr, and James K. Williams, both of Sonoma, CA, a daughter, Dianna L. Marlow and her husband Steve of Hampstead, MD, three grandchildren, Nearmon E. Barrett, IV, Gina M. Kougle and Jacob T. Williams, four great grandchildren, Dominic Barrett, Dalton Barrett, Deanna Barrett and Cylus Hamilton, and a brother, James Williams and his domestic partner Melenie Amule of Reisterstown, MD. 

Following cremation, a service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at Nicarry Meeting House of The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, with Rev. Linda S. Titzell officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
