David Baker Obituary

David L. Baker, “Pappy”, “Rofo” or “KBN30NI, 72, passed Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his home.  He was the husband of Judy A. (Smith) Baker, his wife of 27 years.

David was born January 12, 1951, in Defiance, OH, the son of the late Harold and Leona (Myer) Baker.

David retired from Lobar Construction, was a master mason with Hebron Lodge #465, New Oxford, and was a member of Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association for 32 years, and Mason Dixon Star Touring #441.  He was a general ham radio operator, under KBN30NI, and loved to ride his Harley

In addition to his wife Judy, David is survived by a son, Gynn M. Scott, Jr, and his wife Michele of New Oxford, a daughter, Linda M. Shellehamer and her husband Michael of Abbottstown, a son, John F. Scott and his wife Jamie of Abbottstown, six grandchildren, Shelby, Jesse, Christopher, Katelyn, Zoey and Leslie, two great grandchildren, Sophia and Avery, and his siblings, Gerald Baker and his wife Beverly of Kilgore, TX, Ruth Ann Nye and her husband Gerald of Finlay, OH, and James Baker and his wife Diane of Defiance, OH.

A celebration of Dave’s life will held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1 PM, at York Springs Fire Company..  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
