Obituary

David P. Cabral, 57, of Mooresville NC, passed Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home. He is the husband of Jesse C. Maldonado.

David was born December 15, 1965 in Chelsea, MA, the son of Paul A. and Donna L. (Thompson) Cabral of New Oxford.

David served in the U.S. Army in both active and reserves. David was employed by the Veterans Administration. He was very passionate about Sleep Medicine and mentored many other health care professionals in this field. He became a support coach for many returning troops with PTSD. David enjoyed fishing, boating, and family vacations in Myrtle Beach. David also enjoyed spending quality time with his two birds and rabbits. To know David, was to love him, you felt protected and safe.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by a daughter, Sarah L. Toran and her husband Brandt of Kissimmee, FL, a son, Robert P. Cabral and companion Erika of New Oxford, two step children, Michael and Natalie, both of NC, five grandchildren, two sisters, Susan L. Cabral and Christina L. Cordonnier and her husband Les, of Hanover, six nieces and nephews and former spouse, Miwha Cabral, of Glen Burnie, MD.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10 AM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover. Military honors will be conducted by Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 900 S. Arlington Ave., Suite 134A, Harrisburg, PA 17109.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
