Obituary

Wilmer Ivan Grim, 96, of East Berlin entered eternal rest on Monday, September 7, 2026, at his home. He was born in Strinestown, PA and was the son of the late Clarence W. and Winifred S. (Swartz) Grim. He was the devoted husband of 67 years to the late Doris Romaine (Ferree) Grim.

He owned his own plumbing company for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Bermudian Church, East Berlin, and longtime St. Paul’s “Red Run”, East Berlin. Wilmer was an avid hunter and fisherman and hunted right up to the age of 91. He also enjoyed playing cards of any kind, horseshoes, and bowling which he did until he was 93 years old. His greatest love was his family and getting everyone together.

Wilmer is survived by his children, Kerry I. Grim (Lynn), Kathy E. Berthoud (John), Rick A. Grim (Cindy), Randy H. Grim (Bridget), Bryon W. Grim (Peggy), Beth A. Crone (Wade), and Troy K. Grim (Brenda); 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his 16 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Wilmer’s Funeral Service at Bermudian Church, 279 Bermudian Church Rd. East Berlin, PA on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Red Run Church Cemetery, East Berlin.
