Wayne L. Trostle, 79, passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 3, 2024 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Village at Gettysburg.

Wayne was born November 7, 1944, at the family farm in East Berlin, the son of the late Melvin A. and Margaret I. (Burgard) Trostle.

Wayne was a 1962 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School, where he was on the National Honor Society. Wayne's ambitionin school was to be a teacher, but instead he became a dedicated, successful dairy farmer, who worked hard all his life, and enjoyed what he did. In his younger years, Wayne enjoyed batting stones, playing softball at the neighbor's house, and basketball up in the hay barn on Sundays. Wayne was a Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles fan. The family would like to thank SpiriTrust Lutheran, Gettysburg and Hanover/Spring Grove VNA and Hospice for providing such complete and empathetic care for Wayne.

Wayne is survived by his siblings, Clyde C. Trostle, Sandra K. Hughes, Debra A. Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Lowery and Ruthanna Miller.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11 AM, at Mummert's Church Cemetery, Abbottstown, with Elder Daniel Miller, officiating. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, is in charge of arrangements.
