Wanita P. Orner

Wanita P. (Powell) Orner, 90, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Clyde P. Orner, Jr,, who died February 3, 2001.
Wanita was born August 22, 1925, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Raymond August and Beulah (Fink) Powell.
Wanita was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Biglerville, and the Eagles in Gettysburg.
Wanita is survived by a sister, Dolores Lawrence of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leon and Rodney Powell.
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St., New Oxford, with the Rev. Michael Letteer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
