Walter J. Russell, 82, passed Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his home.  He was the husband of Esther N. (Garrett) Russell.

Walter was born November 28, 1941, in Abington, the son of the late James R. and Myrtle D. (Mercer) Russell.

In addition to his wife Esther, Walter is survived by two sons, Daniel R. Russell and his wife Michelle of Waynesboro, and David J. Russell and his wife Carleen of Gettysburg, and six grandchildren.
