Walter L. Ellison, 81, of New Oxford, died Monday, December 9, 2019, at Normandie Ridge in York.  He was the husband of Linda A. (Elburn) Ellison, his wife of 37 years.

Walter was born May 6, 1938, in Pound, VA, the son of the late Linza and Virginia (Baker) Ellison.

Walter retired in 1985 from the Maryland State Police after 25 years of service.

In addition to his wife Linda, Walter is survived by two daughters, Rene Mentch and her husband Chris of Denver, CO, and Kim Craig of Glen Burnie, MD, several grandchildren, a brother, James L. Ellison and his wife Sue of Fort Wayne, IN, a nephew, Shane Ellison, and a niece Melanie Ellison.
