Virginia Lee Miller, a cherished resident of New Oxford, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication.
Professionally, Virginia dedicated her life to caring for others in various positions spanning a 50-year career at Hanover Hospital. Her kindness and compassion touched many lives. Beyond her work, she was an active member of various community organizations, including the New Oxford Social Club, Amvets of Hanover, East Berlin VFW, and McSherrystown Moose Lodge.
Virginia had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, baking, traveling, and collecting Pepsi items. She found great joy in these activities and often shared them with family and friends.
Virginia was a devoted spouse to Stephen Miller and a loving mother to her children, Benjamin Miller (Andrea) of Hanover and Becky Miller of Abbottstown. Her family meant the world to her, and she was a proud grandmother of Andrew, Dusty, Griffin, Lila, Lily, Lanelle, Khia and Noah; Great grandmother of Briella, Blakelynn, and Colsen. She Cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by her brother, James Carson (Dotti); her sister, Mary Long; her step-sister, Joyce Hartlaub; her step-brother, Wayne Chrismer; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Carson and Herma M Carson; Her brothers John & Robert Carson; Her Step-Father Earl Chrismer; and her Step-brothers Pete & Terry Chrismer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Virginia on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Feiser Funeral and Cremation Care Inc., 302 Lincoln Way W. new Oxford, PA. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10:00AM at Fieser Funeral and Cremation care Inc. with pastor officiating. Interment will be held in Biglerville Cemetery, Biglerville, PA
