Obituary

Uhlmont Lamar "Monty" Hall, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at his home in Biglerville, PA.

Monty was born in Altoona, PA on December 4, 1938 to the late Vinton Daune and Margaret Mae Knipple Hall.

Monty proudly served our Country in the US Army.  He worked as a Machinist and Tool and Diemaker for the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Co. in York, retiring with 30 years of faithful service and many awards.  He was a loyal member of the NRA and the American Legion in Biglerville.  He was an avid hunter and sportsman but his greatest joy was his family - his daughters and grandchildren.  Monty's desire to live life to the fullest was evident in everything he did.  He had a big heart for animals, particularly Tammy's dog Holly.

Monty is survived by two daughters:  Tammy Racine and her husband Joseph of Biglerville and Christi Hall of Abbottstown.  Four grandchildren: Alisha Shank and her husband Bradly, Dillan Fahs, Justin Shultz and Steven Hall, two great grandchildren, Emily Shank and Lucas Shank, and a sister, Brenda Nielsen Murray and her husband Jim of Nashville TN.  Monty is preceded in death by his parents, Vinton and Margaret Hall, brother Daune Hall, niece SherRee' Nielsen and son-in-law Craig Fahs.
