Theron John Menges, 80, entered God's eternal care, at home on Monday, January 1, 2018, surrounded by his family.  He was born September 13, 1937, in Abbottstown, the son of the late John A. and Marie G. (Altland) Menges.

Theron was a 1955 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and a life-long member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Brenda Marie (Wolf) Menges, who died October 30, 2011, his brothers, Leon J. Menges and Raymond J. Menges, and a sister, Perlene M. Menges.

Theron was a very kind and gentle soul, with a loving and generous heart; making his family his first priority.

Theron is survived by his three children, Gregory Allen Menges and his companion Jody Livingston of New Oxford, Randy Michael Menges of New Oxford, and Lisa Marie (Menges) Kessel of Carlisle, seven grandchildren, Jessica L. Hare and her husband Jesse, Ashley R. Grillo and her husband Phillip, Courtney R. Menges, Nathan J. Menges, Corey J. Menges, Amanda M. Menges, and Ayrton A. Kessel, six great grandchildren, Ayden and Liam Hare, Aaliyah, Logan, and Makenzie Grillo, and Colton Smith, a brother, Quay J. Menges and his wife Louise, a sister-in-law, Joyce Menges, and his faithful pet Abby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8, 2017, at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with the rosary at 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK  73123.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
