Suzanne A. Kaiser, lovingly known as "Susie," passed away peacefully at her beloved farm in Abbottstown on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was 81 years old.
Born on November 27, 1944, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Susie was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Lorraine Alwood. On September 16, 1968, she married the love of her life, Earl J. Kaiser Jr., affectionately known as "Joe." Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and unwavering love.
Susie was a trailblazer in the real estate industry, dedicating decades to helping families find the perfect place to call home. She spent much of her career representing respected homebuilders, including J.A. Myers Homes and Masonry Homes, before continuing her passion for real estate with Keller Williams. Her knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to her clients earned the respect of colleagues and the appreciation of countless families throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.
To those who knew her best, Susie will be remembered for far more than her career. She was an incredibly strong, determined woman whose perseverance carried her through life's greatest challenges. She led by example, never accepted defeat, and instilled in her family the importance of hard work, resilience, and always showing up for the people she loved. She had a generous heart, a quick wit, and a fierce devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, and unconditional love.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a proud mother to Kelly, Kristopher, and Karena, and an adoring Mimi to Emma and Jersey. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Earl J. "Joe" Kaiser Jr.; her daughters, Kelly Kaiser (Dave Bahn) and Karena Kaiser-Foss; her beloved granddaughters, Emma Foss and Jersey Kaiser; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kristopher Kaiser.
Outside of real estate, Susie found her greatest peace at her farm, where she shared a special bond with the animals she adored. She had a lifelong love for German Shepherds, horses, and animals of every kind. Her farm was more than a home—it was her sanctuary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to gather at the Kaiser family farm to enjoy light refreshments, raise a glass in Susie's honor, and share stories celebrating a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325, or online through PayPal at adamscountyspca.org, in honor of Susie's lifelong love of animals.
Her greatest legacy wasn't the homes she sold, but the family she built, the friendships she cherished, and the example she set for everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her strength, determination, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all of us for generations to come.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of strength, determination, generosity, and love will live on through all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
