Suzanne E. "Suzie" (Lough) Eckert, 79, passed Monday, October 20, 2025, at The Brethren Home Community.  She was the wife of Cedar L. Eckert, her husband of 56 years.

Suzie was born January 1, 1946, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline (Fleshman) Lough.

Suzie was a 1964 graduate of New Oxford High School and then attended Empire Beauty School.  She worked as a beautician at The Brethren Home for 32 years.  Suzie loved socializing and making new friends, and enjoyed creative art, wood carving, gardening and was well known for her clear toy candy.

In addition to her husband Cedar, Suzie is survived by two sons; Kevin Eckert of New Oxford and Troy Eckert of Spring Grove, and a daughter, Emily Eckert of New Oxford.  She was predeceased by a brother, Jay Lough.
