IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley R.
Hollenbaugh
October 19, 1940 – July 5, 2025
Stanley R. Hollenbaugh, 84, adoring husband and beloved father, passed Saturday, July 5, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
He was the wife of Andrea K. (Krensky) Hollenbaugh, his wife of 57 years.
Stanley was born October 19, 1940 in Harrisburg the son of the late son Stanley Hollenbaugh and Annajane O Wise.
In addition to his wife, Andrea, Stanley is survived by a daughter, Beth A Shover, son in law, Cory J Shover and their daughters, Callie, and Campbell, and son Daniel M Hollenbaugh, daughter in law, Abby Hollenbaugh, and their children, Collin, Liberty, Rowan, Daniel, Conrad, Orian, and Andie Hollenbaugh.
He was a very talented Gunsmith, well respected in his field of expertise, an entrepreneur who created two well-known antique galleries in New Oxford, Pa with his wife Andrea. Andrea still manages Collectors Choice Antique Gallery today.
He served as an Electronics tech in the 8th Army in Korea. His proficiency test was highest for his MOS. He serviced Hercules missile as a tech in their launching and worked on nuclear weapons, at the McGregor middle range training area at Fort Bliss, New Mexico and Texas. He served in the U.S. Army, on the North Korean front line, where the casualty expectancy was 100%. He loved serving his country.
He has always been the best teacher, protector, and encourager! He was so proud of his children. He was the most talented craftsman making rifles, bows, fly fishing rods, and the like from scratch by hand with his blacksmithing shop and wood working shop. He always made his family his priority.
He was an unapologetic patriot and loved his country- having served in the Army and always telling anyone who would listen about the history of our country.
He participated in pre-revolutionary war re-enactments, and has many of his Kentucky rifles in National museums as well as owned by private collectors all over the world. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was passionate about teaching them as well.
There is no replacing a man like this and the hole he will leave in our family won't be filled- but we are all thankful to God for allowing him to be our Dad and grandfather.
He was a dedicated husband who passionately adored his wife and served her until he could no longer. He would talk to anyone and would do what he could to make them feel special. He took in children who needed a home, offering them to stay as long as needed and there was always a place at the table for anyone who wanted to stay for a meal. He was a great cook and it was his passion to feed his family healthy food-a good bit which he had hunted or grew himself.
Military honors will be conducted at Indiantown National Cemetery.
