Stanley E. "Eddie" Yates, Jr, 56, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  He was the husband of Denyse V. (Gonzalez) Yates, his wife of 22 years.

Eddie was born August 4, 1965, in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Lorraine (Ryniewicz) Yates, and the late Stanley E. Yates, Sr.

Eddie was a member of Freedom Valley Church in Gettysburg, and he retired after working for Boston and Maine Railroad and Amtrak.  He loved spending time with his dogs, Luna and Zeus.

In addition to his wife Denyse, Eddie is survived by his children, Brendan J. Yates of Carlisle, Bethany H. Yates of McSherrystown, and Joshua E. Yates of New Oxford, a sister, Karen L. Underwood of Grand Rapids, MI, and a brother, Jim A. Yates and his wife Nancy of Beaver.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 6 PM, at Freedom Valley Church, 3185 York Rd, Gettysburg, with Pastor Candace Pringle officiating.   Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
