Stanley R. Boyer, 85, passed peacefully Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Cassel) Boyer, his wife of 61 years.

Stan was born December 23, 1940, in East Berlin, the son of the late Glen W. and Anna Mary (Sweitzer) Boyer.

Stan was a graduate of Spring Grove High School and went on to continue the family electrical business with his father and brother. He enjoyed restoring many antiques, including cars, tractors and toys throughout the years, and was an avid hunter and active member of Gideon’s International and Upper Conewago Brethren Church. Stan will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his quiet sense of humor.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Stan is survived by his children, Tina Gulan and her husband Rick, Melissa Smith and her husband Michael, Melinda West and her husband Johnny and Dawn Midkiff and her husband Rob, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a brother, James W. Boyer and his wife Joanne of East Berlin. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy E. Boyer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11 AM, at Upper Conewago Brethren Church, 391 Mummert’s Church Rd, Abbottstown, with Elder Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, from 2-5 PM, and on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
