Shirley M. (Kimmey) Burkett, 79, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at The Brethren Home Community.  She was the wife of the late Raymond G. Burkett, Jr, who died January 2, 1996.

Shirley was born February 27, 1939, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Roy A. and Effie (Utz) Kimmey.

Shirley was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, and a life member of Irishtown Fire Company.

Shirley is survived by three daughters, Sheila M. Campbell and her husband John of Dover, Sonia M. Martz and her husband Kevin of York, and Rebecca L. Allen and her husband Stanford of Surf City, NC, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two brothers, Robert Kimmey of Littlestown, and James Kimmey of Benson, NC.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy and William Kimmey and a sister, Mildred Wildasin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11 AM, at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Kate Schroeder officiating.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice, 440 N.
