Shirley A. (Leppo) Mayer, 79, passed Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover.  She was the wife of the late Curtis R. Mayer, her husband of 52 years, who passed May 16, 2024.

Shirley was born October 17, 1945, in Union Mills, MD, the daughter of the late William K. and Hilda E. (Markle) Leppo.

Shirley loved the Baltimore Orioles and John Wayne movies.

Shirley is survived by a daughter, Laura J. Klunk and her husband William of Abbottstown, a son, Curtis R. Mayer, II and his wife Jen of Gettysburg, a grandson, Justin Klunk of Spring Grove, and two sisters, Ethel Meyer and her husband David of Mentone, CA, and Edna Mae Wasmer of Westminster, MD.  She was predeceased by three brothers, William, David and Emory, and two sisters, Ruthie and Evelyn.

A viewing will be held at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2-4 PM. Following cremation, a graveside service will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11 AM, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Baltimore St, Hanover, with Pastor Barry Sweitzer officiating.
