Sherman F. Kirby, 70, passed Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home. He was the husband of Debra A. (Beamer) Kirby, his wife of 30 years.
Sherman was born July 6, 1952, in TN, the son of the late Kathern (Nipper) Kirby Tomaszewski and the late Alvin D. Kirby, Sr.
Sherman worked construction all his life, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Debra, Sherman is survived by two daughters, Lisa Prout and her husband Jason of Hanover, and Lori Anderson and her husband Kris of Abbottstown, three sons, Sherman Kirby, Jr and his girlfriend Leslie Hedrick of Gettysburg, and Jasson Kirby and Nathan Kirby and his wife Hiata, all of VT, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, four brothers, Raymond Kirby and his wife Edie of Gettysburg, Alvin Kirby and his wife Linda of Littlestown, Calvin Kirby and his wife Janice of Orrstown, and Wayne Kirby of Hanover, five sisters, Kathy Smith and her husband Robert of New Oxford, Elaine Luther and her husband Dave of York Springs, Debbie Bollinger and her husband Rodger of Aspers, Linda Laughman and her companion Terry Theritt of Spring Grove, and Alpha Etta Smith of TN, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Skylar Kirby, six brothers, Roland, Jerry, Blaine, Johnny, Charles & David Kirby, and a sister-in-law, Sherry Kirby.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
