Obituary

Shelby J. (Wagaman) Leister, 72, passed Saturday, March 2, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  She was the wife of Gary L. Leister, her husband of 46 years.

Shelby was born May 29, 1951, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Harris C. and Pauline E. (Byers) Wagaman, Sr.

Shelby was a member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, where she was a bartender for more than 30 years.

In addition to her husband Gary, Shelby is survived by three sons, David H. Jones and his wife Virginia of San Jose, CA, Bobby C. Jones and his husband Jamie of Baltimore, MD, and Nicholas L. Leister and his wife Karen of New Oxford, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five brothers, Donald Wagaman and his wife Charlotte, Dennis Wagaman and his wife Jin, Robert Wagaman and his wife Wanda, Jeffrey Wagaman and his wife Linda, and Philip Wagaman and his wife Diane, and two sisters, Janet Bankert, and Cherry Leister and her husband Larry.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Wagaman and Harris Wagaman, Jr, and three sisters, Kathy Wagaman, Shirley Taylor, and Phyllis Quigley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 8 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
