Sheila Mae Monroe, 72, of New Oxford entered eternal rest on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was born in Cumberland, MD and was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Nadine F. (Meeks) Smith. She was the loving wife of the late Earl Clayton Monroe.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her children were her life. Being with family was the most important thing for her. Any holiday or family event that would bring them all together was what made her feel complete.

Sheila is survived by her children, John Honeycutt, Jr., (Patty) of East Berlin, Ryan Monore, Sr., of FL, Haley Monroe of New Oxford, Ryan Monroe, Jr. of New Oxford; two grandchildren, Shawn and Shane Honeycutt; siblings, Tom Smith (Kathy) of Lancaster, Jerry Smith (Monica) of Hanover, and Billy Smith (Sherri) of MD; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sheila’s Funeral Service at Feiser Funeral & Cremation Care, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, PA on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Grecco officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
