Sharon Kay Almoney (Bower), 79, of York Springs PA entered into the peace of Heavenly Father's kingdom on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at UPMC Memorial Hospital with her daughter Sarah by her side.

Sharon was born August 14, 1945 in Baltimore MD, the daughter of the late James William Bower Sr. and the late Catherine Mildred Bower (Mann). T

The Bower family moved to Reisterstown MD in 1957. Sharon graduated from Franklin Senior High and worked at The Maryland Cup Company in Owings Mills MD before her marriage to the late Glenn David Almoney, her husband of 32 years who passed away in March 2010. Sharon and Glenn raised their two children at the family farm in New Oxford, PA. Daughter Sarah Lowman (Almoney) husband Dale Allen Lowman and son Joshua Almoney and significant other Kimberly Williams. Also survived by step children David Almoney, Robert Almoney, and Susan Kopp (Almoney).

Sharon and Glenn met at Sportsman Hall roller skating rink. They both were roller skating enthusiast. Sharon enjoyed doing arts and crafts projects and displaying them in her home. Every season she was making something new. She always was encouraging others to try making something. Sharon's personality was loving and caring of others. Her smile could light up a room. She always was making sure that she had sweets Joshua on her table.

Sharon is survived by her sister Virginia Harvey, and brothers Robert W Bower Sr. and Thomas R Bower Sr. and many grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Evelyn Weiss, Irene Howard, Mary Bower and Doris Gill and by a brother James William Bower Jr. She is a member of the Gettysburg Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1170 Kohler Mill Road, New Oxford, PA

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 1170 Kohler Mill Road, New Oxford, PA follow by a luncheon.  Burial will be at 2 PM on Saturday at Mt. Zion Cemetery in York.  A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
