Ruth C. Shaberly

Ruth C. Shaberly, 76, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Hanover Hospital. She was the companion of Kenneth F. DeShong of New Oxford and the wife of the late Donald E. Shaberly, who died February 28, 2001.
Ruth was born March 13, 1940, in New Cumberland, the daughter of the late John H. and Francis Irene (Shelly) Keefer. Ruth was employed with B.A.E. in York for over 20 years. She was a member of the Hanover Moose Club. Ruth loved to hand make all kinds of greeting cards.
In addition to her companion Kenneth, Ruth is survived by three daughters, Melinda Weiss, Floetta C. Stein and Rita L. Linebaugh, all of East Berlin; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a brother, John Keefer of New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. Burial will be in Holtzschwamm Union Cemetery, Thomasville. A viewing will be held at the funeral home Monday, July 11, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Memories may be shared at
