Roy A. Basler, Jr., 93, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of the late Nancy Lee (Smith) Basler who died April 27, 2016.

Roy was born September 25, 1927 in Westminster, MD, the son of the late Roy A. and Ella M. (Myers) Basler, Sr.

Roy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was proud to be an American. Roy retired from Black & Decker in Westminster, MD. as a tool and die maker.

Roy is survived by a step daughter, Jacqueline A. Frederick of Lebanon, KY, a stepson, Thomas K. Moore of Westminster, two cousins, Helen Green and Bea Schriver, both of Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00AM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Pastor Linda S. Titzell officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 1903 S. Pleasant Valley Rd. Westminster, MD,Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Marjorie Lauver officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Good Samaritan Fund of the Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA. 17350. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc is in charge of the arrangements.
