Rosita M. "Rosie" (Laughman) Sanders, 79, passed Friday, February 23, 2024 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John E. Sanders, her husband of 62 years.

Rosie was born April 26, 1944 in Hanover, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Emma C. (Feeser) Laughman.

Rosie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg. Rosie was employed by Agway in New Oxford and Moritz Machine Shop in Biglerville for many years. Rosie's greatest joy in life was her relationship and marriage to John, and being with and taking care of her family. Rosie loved the Christmas season and spending time watching her birds, especially with all of her great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed many special times with her sister Hester.

In addition to her husband John, Rosie is survived by her four children, Letty Groft and her husband Ron of Gettysburg, Mitch Sanders and his fiancée Vikki of Blairs Mill, Steve Sanders and his wife Melanie of Gettysburg, and Cathy Staub and her husband Mike of New Oxford, nine grandchildren, Michael Groft and his wife Jill, Jessica Seighman and her partner Paul Dennis, Colbi Sanders and her partner Ryan Folk, Emily Sanders and her fiancée Andy Cullen, Justin Sanders and his fiancée Holly Penn, Brittany Sanders and her fiancée Fred Langkam, Jonathan Staub and his fiancée Celsea Weaver, Jordan Staub and his fiancée Megan Wagaman, and Jamie Staub and her fiancée Chad Lawrence, sixteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Hester Hershey, Wanda Carbaugh and her husband Al, and Judy Bixler, a brother, Paul Laughman and his wife Pat, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Kimbra Sanders, a brother-in-law, Lloyd Hershey, and a sister Bonnie Fuhrman and her husband Mike.

A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 10 AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, on Wednesday, from 6-8 PM, with a eulogy at 8 PM.  Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Groft, Justin Sanders, Jonathan Staub, Jordan Staub, Andy Cullen, and Paul Dennis.  Following the committal service at the cemetery, a celebration of Rosie's life will be held at S.A.V.E.S., 5865 Hanover Rd, Hanover.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com
