Rose M. (Kuhn) Hitchcock, 88, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.
Rose was born January 6, 1934, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Roy I. and Anastacia E. (Schaffer) Kuhn.
Rose was a graduate from Delone Catholic High School. She retired from Fleming Foods in York after working there many years. Rose was an avid sports fan, enjoying all types of sports especially watching Penn State football. Rose loved all things related to aviation and all types of animals.
Rose is survived by a son, Richard Hitchcock and his partner Wendy of Abbottstown, and a daughter, Rebecca A. Grim of Abbottstown, three grandchildren, Michael D. Meckley and his wife Gale of New Oxford, Jason A. Grim and his wife Amy of Dillsburg, Bridgette Brandt and her husband Chris of Thomasville, one step granddaughter, Brandi Rebert and her husband Matt of Glenville, seven great grandchildren, and Barbara Shorb of Hanover, a long-time companion of Rose's predeceased son, Thomas N. Hitchcock, who died on January 31, 2020.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 2-4 PM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin. Memorial contributions may be made to Adams Co. SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd., Gettysburg, PA. 17325. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
