Ronald M. Metzger

Ronald M. Metzger, 66, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at his residence. He was the husband of Gail E. (Mosebrook) Metzger, his wife of 38 years.
Ronald was born May 30, 1950, in Alliance, OH, the son of the late Robert E. and Evelyn D. (Bright) Metzger.
Ronald served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and enjoyed drag racing with his brother Bob in the 1970's at York U.S. 30 Dragway.
In addition to his wife, Gail, Ronald is survived by a son, Jason M. Metzger and his partner, Tara Kulish of York; a daughter, Cari A. Turner and her husband, Joshua of Hanover; a granddaughter, Evelyn E. Turner of Hanover; a sister, Tina R. Fortney and her husband, Junnie of New Oxford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert E. Metzger, Jr.; and a sister, Sandra L. Thiele.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11 a.m., at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with the Rev. David J. Mosebrook and the Rev. Keith A. Mosebrook officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
