Ronald D. Dellinger, 84, passed peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Sibert) Dellinger, his wife of 61 years.
Ron was born May 29, 1939, in Gettysburg, the son of late Paul W. and Emma C. (Zeigler) Dellinger, Sr.
In his early years, Ron worked on his father's dairy farm, then was a self-employed carpenter until he retired, and was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, New Oxford, where he served on church council for many years. He was an avid hunter, loved making trips to the cabin in Potter Co., being outdoors, and woodworking, from making desks to building houses.
In addition to his wife Ruth, Ron is survived by his children, Doug R. Dellinger and his wife Carol A. Fees of Lebanon, Bonnie L. Rodgers and her husband Curtis of Biglerville, and Tim J. Dellinger of Frederick, MD, three grandchildren, Colton F. Dellinger, Abigail Rodgers and Brylee Rodgers, and four sisters, Betty J. Rhodes of New Oxford, Vivian D. Knox of Gettysburg, Beverly A. Walker of Butler, and Dolores J. Welker of Gettysburg. He was predeceased by four sisters, Violet M. Warrenfeltz, Brunetta L. Sibert, Esther P. Walker, and Virginia L. Swartz, and three brothers, Paul W. Dellinger, Jr, Gerald D. Dellinger, Sr, and W. Robert Dellinger.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 11 AM, at St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, 1535 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd, New Oxford, with Rev. Carol Parr officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
