Ronald E. Airey, 84, died Friday, July 30, 2021, at Hanover Hall.  He was the husband of Thelma W. (Wilkens) Airey, his wife of 65 years.

Ron was born August 8, 1936, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late William J. and Lillian W. (Benson) Airey.

Ron was a member of the United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University.  He had a sincere love for his family, was known for his fudge, and was an avid golfer.  Ron's sense of humor kept his family going until the end.

In addition to his wife Thelma, Ron is survived by a son, Ronald E. Airey, Jr and his wife Linda, of Georgetown DE, two daughters, Patricia A. Porter and her husband Michael of Hanover, and Katherine A. Dempsey and her husband Michael Kortum of Ormond Beach, FL, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a brother, Francis Airey of Linthicum, MD.  He was predeceased by a son, Robert T. Airey, and a brother, William J. Airey, Jr.
