Rodney A. "Ike" Felix, 72, passed Saturday, October 12, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Becker) Felix, his wife of 49 years.
Ike was born October 29, 1951, in Hanover, the son of the late Francis J. and M. Ethel (Staub) Felix.
Ike was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford. Ike retired from Aero Energy, Inc, New Oxford, after working in the Truck shop for many years. He was a life member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, McSherrystown Knight of Columbus, New Oxford Fire Company, where he was past chief and past president, and Irishtown Fire Company. He was honorary chief and life member of Hillcrest Fire Company in Spring Valley, NY, past president of ACVESA, and a member of Rookie Camp.
In addition to his wife Pat, Ike is survived by two sons, Wayne R. Felix and his wife Kelly, and Bryan J. Felix and his wife Jess, all of New Oxford, four grandchildren, Camden Felix, Jake Felix, Adam Felix and Alex Felix, and a brother, Frank Felix and his wife Missy of Hanover. He was predeceased by a sister, Darlene "Sis" Staub and her husband Austin A. Staub, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, with Rev. Keith Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 5-8 PM, with a prayer service following the viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bulldog Baseball Club, 237 Lincoln Way East, New Oxford, PA 17350 and or New Oxford Theatrical Arts Collective Student Activity Account- 130 Berlin Rd., New Oxford, PA 17350.
