Robert Elwood Myers, 88, 0f Abbottstown, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 24, 2026, at home. He was born in New Oxford and was the son of the late Robert Francis and Mable (Roland) Myers. He was the loving husband of Mary (Swope) Myers.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Abbottstown and devoted many volunteer hours to his church. He was the “Keeper of the keys” and had a key to every door, draw, or cabinet you needed.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his son, Duane Myers (April) of Hanover; daughter, Cynthia Mathias of Hanover; brother, Glenn Myers (Patsy) of New Oxford; grandchildren, Joshua (Emily), Darren (Amber), Paris (Dillon), and Maclay; great-grandchildren, Lainey, King, Watson, and Henry; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by siblings, Nadine, Treva, Fred, Roy and Larry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert’s Memorial Service at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 East Water Street, Abbottstown, PA on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
