Robert “Bob” Lester Miller, Sr., 79, of New Oxford, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, on Monday, June 1, 2026, at UPMC Harrisburg. He was born in Gettysburg and was the loving son of the late Monroe Lester and Betty Jane (Harman) Miller. He was the husband of Dorothy “Dot” Jean (Frey) Miller, to whom he devoted 57 years of love.

He was a graduate of Gettysburg High School, class of 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served with Company C, 313th Infantry Battalion, an element of the 157th Brigade.

Bob was a member of the Church of God, New Oxford, where he served as head usher for 10 years. He was a former PA State Constable, former President of Adams County REACT, and former Trustee of the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, Hunterstown. He enjoyed fishing, towing, going to car shows (he especially loved MOPARs), auto auctions, gardening, and lawn care. Bob’s greatest love was Jesus, and of course spending time with his family. He would always make up funny sayings and tell jokes just to make people laugh. Bob’s family never fell short of laughter, love, care or faith when they were with him.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Leslie J. Miller-Heldibridle of New Oxford, Robert “Rob” Miller, Jr. (Erika) of Hanover, and Michelle Wineke (Brett) of York; siblings, Terry Miller (Fiancée, Darlene), Larry Miller (Robin), Rick Miller (Kay), and Den Miller (Laura); grandchildren, Ian, Sarah, Zoe, Vada, Delayney, and Zayn; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s Funeral Service at Feiser Funeral & Cremation Care, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, PA on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Great Conewago Presbyterian Church Cemetery with full military honors.
