Robert J. Leary, 89, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Faulconer) Leary, who died on November 24, 2013, his wife of 63 years.
Robert was born August 30, 1926 in Ridgeway, Pa., the son of the late John and Nettie M. (Mullen) Leary.
Robert was a Veteran of W.W.II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and was employed for over 33 years until retirement from the U.S. Naval Ordnance Lab in White Oak, Md. Robert was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown.
Robert is survived by a daughter, Judith M. Leary of East Berlin. He was predeceased by a son, Alan J. Leary who died May 4, 2016.
