Robert T. Jobe, 75, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Anna B. (Gladu) Jobe, his wife of 52 years.
Bob was born March 15, 1941, in Honaker, VA, the son of the late Aaron O. Jobe.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was employed at Baltimore Gas and Electric. He was a member of the AMVETS, Hanover, Loyal Order of Moose, Edgewater, MD, and the New Oxford Cemetery Association where he served as president. He was very active for many years in the Boy Scouts and the YMCA Indian Guides.
In addition to his wife, Anna, Bob is survived by a son, Bruce M. Jobe of Pasadena, MD; two grandchildren, Wesley R. Jobe and Tyler A. Jobe; and a great-grandson, Bentley Kreiger. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan B. Hutt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 11:30 at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with the Rev. Cynthia A. Chambers officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
