Richard H. "Dick" Hagarman, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home.  He was the loving husband of Helen N. (Baker) Hagarman for 69 years.

Richard was born April 12, 1935, in McSherrystown, the son of the late J. Richard and Agnes D. (Sneeringer) Hagarman.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald J. Hagarman, and G. Thomas Hagarman, his sister, Slyvia Hagarman, and his grandson, Mark Hagarman, Jr.

Richard is survived by his wife Helen, his children, Carol S. Slavin and her husband Thomas of Fairfield, Gregory Hagarman and his wife Kaye of Seven Valleys, Richard C. Hagarman and his wife Vickie of Hanover, Mark Hagarman and his wife Diane of Littlestown, and Julie Price and her husband Devon of Elkton, MD, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard retired from Donald B. Smith Roofing, Inc after 45 years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin, and especially enjoyed his time spent with his family.  He was a member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, Knights of Columbus, Green Springs Rod & Gun Club, S.A.V.E.S. Fire Company, and Hanover Elks.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 9-10 AM, at Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, 26 N 3rd St, McSherrystown, followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to VNA/Hospice, 440 N.
