Paul Hunter Wilson passed Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at The Brethren Home Community.  He was the husband of the late Miriam J. (Miller) Wilson, his wife of 64 years, who passed February 10, 2010.

Paul was born January 19, 1921, in Butler, PA, the son of John Martin Wilson and Laura Hunter Wilson.  He was a graduate of Butler Senior High School, Grove City College and Princeton Theological Seminary.

In 1945, Paul married Miriam Miller of New Kensington, PA.  Ordained to the Gospel Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of the U.S.A. in 1946, he served as Pastor to Presbyterian Churches in Northville, NY, Hamilton Square, NJ, and Gloversville, NY.  For a three year period, he was Director of Echo Hills Camps, for the Presbyterian Synod of NJ.

Paul was constantly active in youth work, serving in leadership in summer church camps and youth conferences.  He also led a number or week-long canoe trips and bicycle caravans through the Adirondack Mountains, with groups of Church young people.  He twice visited the Holy Lands, leading a group of church people on an adventure to Biblical places.

In retirement, he and his wife were active Volunteers with Heifer Project International, Habitat For Humanity, Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska and restoration work in Homestead, FL, following Hurricane Andrew.

In June 2001, the Wilsons moved to Cross Keys Village in New Oxford.

Paul is survived by three daughters, Barbara W. Robinson of Churchville, PA, Deborah W. Smith of Tucson, AZ, and Diane W. Rice of Gladwin, MI, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Judy W. Black, four brothers, and a sister.
