Ralph D. Zinn, 91, of Hanover, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband Irene M. (Heller) Zinn, his wife of 65 years.
Ralph was born August 5, 1926, in Berwick Twp., the son of the late Norman C. and Viola (Laughman) Zinn, Sr.
Ralph served in the U.S. Navy CB's in Okinawa during WWII, and was a member of the former E.U. Methodist Church in Green Springs. He was chief of police in Berwick Township for 20 years, a constable in Berwick Township, a Deputy Sheriff in Adams County, and later retired as Road Master for the township. He was a life member of the Green Springs Rod and Gun Club, New Oxford Fire Company, and the V.F.W. in Thomasville.
In addition to his wife Irene, Ralph is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Norman Zinn, Jr, George Zinn and Dewey Zinn, and a sister, Geneva Wolf.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 11 AM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Gerald R. Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
